5 Star Service!

Thank you for the exceptional experience we had in Guilin & Yangshuo. Jessica was an amazing guide and made our trip very pleasant and organized. Everything worked as planned. I have a travel blog and will make a post about your company and my experience.

Once again, thank you for the experience, you guys rock!

Thanks for a lovely trip the week before last. We both had terrific time (and went home with some nice shots, as well). You guys helped us see places we likely would not have found on our own. Mia's ability to charm people in Mandarin made for some delightful interactions and photo ops. And…Mia was very patient with my mobility limitations and our vegetarian diet!

Dear Mia,

I have been asked a number of times what were the highlights of our trip. In the three weeks we spent in China my visit to Daxu was near top. If someone asked me

"When in Guilin would you take the Li River trip or spend a half a day with you?", my answer would be -- "I'm going with you!"  It was that special to me.

To interact with the local people, even though I couldn't understand a word they said, was made so enjoyable with your help."
It was my pleasure to guide you, I loved introducing my Guilin friends and local people, as well as the scenery, so glad you enjoyed the day so much! :) - Mia

"I 'm an expat teaching English in China. I do not speak Chinese and so I was very pleased to have been escorted on a day trip to the old town of Huang Yao by Andy. We spent an interesting and relaxing few hours there exploring the old alleyways, buildings and riverside. Huang Yao seems to be off the Western tourist track and we saw no other foreigners that day. Andy's knowledge, the timing of the visit, facility with the language, and companionship meant that our exploration, our photography and our eating were more interesting and stress-free. One highlight was his interaction with friendly local children. That day, we felt far less like alien tourists in this land."
I'm glad you enjoyed the trip, most of all that my enthusiasm rubbed off. The team and I all love what we do and we hope to not only show you the best photo locations but also make sure you have fun and get the most out of a trip to this area. - Andy

I was part of a small group that went with Andy to visit an ancient town near Guilin.  As I do not speak Chinese, being with Andy (who is fluent in Mandarin) was wonderful as he knew the area and had got to know some of the locals, it made the trip so much more in depth.

We were able to relax and enjoy eating in local restaurants and go off the beaten track, exploring the island and the surrounding fields. This town is a photographer's dream, full of old buildings, and the riverside and land is used for growing all sorts of interesting vegetables.

Andy took us through the web of back streets to an authentic Chinese medicine shop as well as an old man's ancient house which was a treasure trove of genuine old Chinese paraphernalia and gizmos. The old gentleman was a fountain of knowledge and stories which I found fascinating and would have missed out on completely without Andy's local knowledge and interpretation.  Even as a non-photographer I found the visit absolutely intriguing and a highlight of my time in China.

Thank you Andy - I look forward to another adventure as I know you will have taken the time to search out the unusual and interesting aspects of any destination for which you offer your guiding service!"

Wow, thank you for the very kind words, however... I only wish my Chinese was "fluent"! I can chat about most things, but I've still got so much to learn, and I still make many mistakes. It's a life long challenge! - Andy.

American Photographers - 2012 - 5/5
To me the most memorable is the scenery in the Guilin area, although the Great Wall of China always thrills me….our guide Lele in Guillin was our China tours favorite guide, he is agreeable, bright, enthusiastic and attentive.

W
e had good drivers and none did anything I'd consider risky. They were polite and attentive…..I loved visiting Lele's friend, a lady who is a widow and lives in a traditional wood home. She seems eager to be welcoming and friendly and we got the chance to see a traditional farm/village home. There are many aspects similar to farm life in parts of America...and many differences. But, her warmth and kindness made the visit special.
It was my pleasure Sara, I hope next time you have more than a few days so I can show you more of my home! Keep in touch and welcome back! :) - LeLe

American Couple - 2012 - 5/5
Our short trip was off-the-tourist trek, to a place called Jiangtou Ancient Village (Jiuwu), and it was very good.  Our guide Le Le quickly discerned we had some experience in China and that we were willing to try local foods; so he recommended restaurants that were more Chinese than Western. He also realized our interest in animals and plants, and pointed out unusual flowers and shrubs, he clearly cared about us.
It was my pleasure, although I wish you had more time to explore Guilin, there is so much more to discover. - LeLe
